The Half Day Wine Tour departs from Fisherman's Wharf at midday and heads north, across the Golden Gate Bridge, through Marin County into the world famous Carneros Wine Region and the charming town of Sonoma.

This fun and informative Wine Country tour not only offers a taste of superb wineries in the region, but it also offers a chance to enjoy the splendor of the beautiful vineyards and picturesque Sonoma County as your guide escorts you from winery to winery. You travel in a minibus and group sizes are rather small. You will visit two highly regarded Sonoma wineries. One tasting fee is included, as well as a complimentary bottle of water and chocolate. There also will be some free time to enjoy historic Sonoma Plaza.

The Half Day Wine Country Tour is a pleasure for anyone who enjoys a good glass of wine or for those just wanting to experience the beautiful scenery of California’s wine region, but have limited time.

Inclusion

Tasting fees at 1 Sonoma winery; Transportation in luxury minibus.

Exclusion

Optional 2nd wine tasting (approximately $10-$15 per person); Gratuity.

Hours of operation

Available daily departing at 12:00pm. No tour departures on December 25.

Duration

Approximately 5-6 hours.

Location

Departure location at 1331 Columbus Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94133 (between Beach Street & North Point Street).

Hotel pickup available in the Downtown area (Union Square, Financial District, Nob Hill, Lombard Street, Embarcadero and SOMA) but need to be booked with reservation request or at least 48 hours in advance.

A part of this tour requires a moderate amount of walking outdoors.

The tour route and food samples vary seasonally, as do the wineries visited. While the customer’s input is valued and encouraged, we cannot guarantee any specific food, wine selection or location requests.

Participant restrictions

Children are permitted on wine tasting tours, but you must be 21 or older to sample wines.

This tour is not recommended for those with mobility problems due to a required moderate amount of walking outdoors.

Cancellation: 1 day prior 100% penalty. No show 100% penalty.

A minimum of 6 people is required to operate the tour.

Customers are required to reconfirm the tour no later than 72 hours in advance by calling City Sightseeing customer service. Customers with specific food allergies should make their needs known at this time.
