Diamond Head State Monument is one of Hawaii’s most recognized landmarks and for decades, visitors have hiked to the summit of Diamond Head to enjoy the breathtaking views of Oahu. Diamond Head State Monument is maintained by Hawaii’s State Parks and is a popular historic trail that offers a memorable Hawaiian adventure for the entire family.

Diamond Head Visitor Center address: Diamond Head Road at 18th Avenue, Honolulu Hawaii 96815; located in the Diamond Head crater, at the beginning of the hiking trail to the summit.
Additional Information
This moderately difficult hike is 1.6 miles round-trip.
The trail follows steep and uneven terrain, please wear appropriate footwear.
Dress appropriately for hiking in warm weather. The weather inside the crater is usually hot; a hat, sunscreen and water is recommended.
Participant restrictions
Diamond Head hike is not accessible for handicap individuals.

Parking is limited, especially during peak hours from 8:00am - 11:00am.
