This tour is the classic air/ground tour to the Grand Canyon National Park. The tour departs from the North Las Vegas Airport (Vision is the only airline tour company departing from Las Vegas). Passengers fly aboard a state-of-the-art German-built Dornier 328 or the smaller, nimble Dornier 228, both affording unobstructed views of the American Southwest. Because Vision departs from Las Vegas, passengers enjoy 18% more sightseeing en route to the Canyon, including flightseeing over famous Lake Mead, Nellis Air Force Base, and the Hualapai Indian Nation comprising the Canyon's West Rim. A helpful flight attendant attends to your needs throughout the approximately 45-minute flight to the Canyon.

Upon arrival at the Grand Canyon South Rim airport, board a luxury motor coach for your 2.5 hour excursion with stops at the Park's two most dramatic, panoramic overlooks: One of the viewpoints you'll encounter as you enter the Grand Canyon National Park area is Mather Point, named for the National Park Service's first Director, Stephen Mather. This unobstructed, awe-inspiring point on the South Rim offers that "perfect view" of the Grand Canyon featured in countless books and movies. Also at Mather Point is the Canyon View Information Plaza, housing the Canyon View Visitors Center, a large bookstore, and ample restrooms.

Another destination is Bright Angel. Here you'll see the circa 1935 Bright Angel Lodge. It has a gift shop, lounge, and history room. In the summer, visit its old-fashioned ice cream fountain! Also at Bright Angel Point are: Lookout Studio, a gift shop and lookout point built on the rim's edge near the Bright Angel Lodge; and, Kolb Studio, a photography studio built in 1904 and run by Emery and Ellsworth Kolb (the Kolb brothers produced canyon subject stills and were first to film a river-running trip down the Colorado). An on-the-go meal is included.

Itinerary

Day 1:

Passengers are picked-up from selected hotels in Las Vegas and transferred to the Vision Terminal for check-in.

An on-the-go boxed lunch is selected before boarding flight.

Flight to Grand Canyon South Rim is approximately 45 minutes.

Board motor coach for an approximately 2 hour tour through the National Park, including stops at the Canyon rim.

Transfer to your accomodation inside the National park.

Free time to explore the Canyon.

Day 2:

Transfer from your accomodation to the Grand Canyon airport.

Return flight departs the Grand Canyon at 10:30am (approximately 45 minutes) back to Las Vegas.

Transfer back to selected hotels.
