Explore the National Mall and experience the joy and freedom of riding the most unique vehicle created. After learning how to ride your Segway, you’ll roll right up the center of Pennsylvania Avenue, glide to the monuments and memorials on the National Mall, and visit some fun off-the-mall spots along the way.

On this tour, you will see: US Capital Building, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, Smithsonian Castle and several Smithsonian museums, Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial, the White House and more.

Inclusion

Guided tour includes Segway, helmet, snack, and bottled water.

Location

Tour begins and ends at our National Mall location at L’Enfant Plaza: 470 L’Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, DC 20024.

Arriving by METRO (suggested): to L'Enfant Plaza (Yellow, Green, Orange, Blue or Silver). Exit train, follow signs to L'Enfant Plaza or 9th and D Streets. Before exiting turnstiles, check for a large circular portrait of an astronaut in a spacesuit with arms at their side. The background is white. If you do not see this ask a Metro employee to point you to the exit for the L'Enfant Plaza

Starbucks or food court. Exit the turnstiles and take escalator up one level. At the top turn right. You should see Starbucks. Exit glass doors to the right of Starbucks. You should see a mural on your right. Walk to the end of the mural and walk UP stairs. Turn right and walk towards the first building. If you find yourself inside the food court find Jamba Juice, Panda Express or California Tortilla, take the stairs next to Jamba Juice up to the plaza level.

Arriving by TAXI: Use address 475 L'Enfant Plaza SW. At this address, you will see a large building under construction. Face the new building, cross the street and take the sidewalk to the left. Walk past the building lobby to the end of the sidewalk.

Arriving by DRIVING and PARKING: Use address 970 D Street SW. Once there, you will be under an overpass and should see signs for L’Enfant Plaza Parking. Once parked, take the elevator to Plaza Level (PL), exit the building and walk to your right. There is limited metered street parking one level up along L'Enfant Plaza. If parked on the street, navigate on foot to 470 L’Enfant Plaza SW.

Arriving by FOOT/BIKE: Use the address 470 L’Enfant Plaza SW. Navigate to intersection of Independence Ave and L’Enfant Plaza SW. You should see the Smithsonian Castle/Visitor Center. From there, cross Independence Avenue and take the sidewalk of L’Enfant Plaza for 1 1/2 blocks. Make your first left just before the construction. Walk past the building lobby to the end of the sidewalk.

Participant restrictions

Participants must be at least 16 years old.

Weight minimum is 100lbs, maximum 260lbs.

Policies

Cancellation: 2 days prior 100% penalty. No show 100% penalty.

Guest must have photo ID at check-in.

Helmets are mandatory when riding.

Tours may be cancelled if the weather makes for dangerous riding conditions. If we are unable to reschedule the tour, we will issue a full credit or refund.
