New York City is experiencing a renaissance in the art of libation creation, and the good whiskey distillers of the city want to show off what they’ve been cooking up!

For each sail in our series, the booze experts from Urban Oyster have picked themes that will introduce you to a different local micro-distillery, highlighting their whiskey against other brands. On board you’ll also sample paired truffles from ChocAlive!

Inclusion

A tasting of one micro distilled, one small batch, and one mass produced whiskey; 3 Truffles from ChocAlive!; 2 Tailored whiskey cocktails; Fascinating expert information about the distilling process, the flavors that you taste, the history of the booze, and all about NYC’s alcoholic past.

Exclusion

Transportation; Additional personal expenses; Gratuities.

Hours of operation

Sails the first Saturday during the months of May through October, departing at 4:45pm.

Approximately 90 minutes.

Location

The Shearwater Classic Schooner berths at the North Cove Yacht Harbor in front of the glass atrium of the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place (World Financial Center) in Lower Manhattan.

Participant restrictions

Guests must be 21 years of age or older to participate.

Policies

Tickets are not refundable and we do sail in light to moderate rain. If we cancel, it is due to severe weather and we’ll reschedule your sail at no charge. If you wish to reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours prior to the sail. There is a $10 rescheduling fee per ticket for rescheduling within 24 hours of the sail.
