Come join us as we walk, talk and taste our way through Charleston. This 2½ hour Charleston Culinary Tour will immerse you in the history and culture of the Lowcountry. You will discover how our unique cuisine has evolved over the past 300+ years while sampling delicious specialties from local eateries, markets, bakeries, restaurants, and culinary landmarks.

Typical tastings include: Stone Ground Grits; Charleston Benne Wafers; Locally Made Gourmet Chocolates; Southern Pralines; Sweet Tea; Collard Greens; Lowcountry Barbeque.

Available Monday–Saturday departing at 9:30am and 2:00pm. Please check in 15 minutes prior to tour departure. Closed January 1, Thanksgiving Day, December 24-25 & 31.

Tour is approximately 2.5 hours; Covers 8-10 city blocks, approximately three-quarters of a mile.

The tours end about 10 blocks from the original starting point, downtown near Market Street.

Participant restrictions

Not recommended for children under 14 years of age.

Additional Information

Although the tour includes tastings along the way, this is usually not enough food to serve as a meal for most people. Please eat breakfast or lunch before or after the tour.
