City Tour with Bay Cruise – Combine with a bay cruise to complete the package. This 60 minute Bay Cruise takes you past the famous PIER 39 sea lions and along San Francisco’s historic waterfront revealing the city’s fascinating skyline. After you sail under the Golden Gate Bridge, you’ll circle Alcatraz Island and see every angle of this mysterious island. Other attractions include Angel Island, the Ellis Island of the west, and the magnificent skyline of San Francisco. This comfortable Bay tour has both indoor and outdoor seating with full narration describing major landmarks as you sail by them.

City tour plus Escape from the Rock Bay Cruise - See San Francisco and its famous landmarks by land and sea. Combine a tour around the city by bus with a cruise on the bay that allows you to get close to the “Rock”. Hear great stories about the history of Alcatraz Island and learn about the infamous inmates that have tried to escape. After you sail under the Golden Gate Bridge, you’ll circle Alcatraz Island twice and see every angle of this mysterious island. With sound effects and stories about famous inmates like Al Capone, Billy Cook the Killer, and Clyde Johnson’s famous escape attempt, you’ll have a clear picture of what life in this maximum-security prison when it the most feared institution in the American penal system. Along your entire cruise you will have scenic views of the San Francisco Skyline and the Golden Gate Bridge from the bay. Your guided city tour departs from Fisherman's Wharf and crosses the Golden Gate Bridge with photo stops on both sides of the bridge, tour travels thru the famous Presidio of San Francisco and you'll travel to Lands End, part of the Golden Gate National Recreational Area where you will have time to visit the new National Park Visitors Center and enjoy views of the Pacific Ocean, the former Sutro Baths and a distant view of the Golden Gate Bridge with the Pacific Ocean. Tour departs from Union Square/Downtown San Francisco at 478 Post Street (between Mason & Powell Street) across the street from the Westin St. Francis Hotel. Shuttle available from 2800 Leavenworth Street (Fisherman's Wharf) to 478 Post Street at 45 minutes prior to tour departure time.

Hotel pick up only available for guests staying outside walking distance to departure locations.

Additional Information

Buses are air conditioned and the size of the bus depends on the number of passengers booked for that particular day. There are 48, 28, 39, 47 and 50 seat vehicles.

Participant restrictions

Wheelchair accessible. However, passengers in a wheelchair can be accommodated only if they can get on and off the bus on their own and if the wheelchair is foldable. The driver is not permitted to assist handicapped persons due to insurance restrictions.
