Sail Across Ice Rivers and Glaciers

You will be leaving from El Calafate and then go for a 50 km trip by Mini Bus. Then we will arrive at Puerto de la Cruz in Punta Bandera where ships await visitors to leave at 9:00am. Once aboard a modern catamaran we sail across the North Arm of Lake Argentino, across the Boca del Diablo and then navigate to the Upsala Canal, where, if the location of the ice permits, we can see the spectacular barrier Ice and a panoramic view of the Upsala Glacier.

We will continue on the trip where we will see the Spegazzini Canal and the Seso Glacier, up against the Spegazzini Glacier in the highest National Park.

There is an option to have lunch on board or bring your own lunch.

The catamaran will return us back to the port and continue then overland return to Calafate.

The start time is an approximate departure time from your hotel. Your exact pick up time will be sent to you once you confirm your reservation.

You MUST provide passport information for each passenger (name, passport number, nationality, date of birth) at booking. If you do not the tour will be cancelled.

According to weather conditions and temperatures near the icebergs in the north branch of the river, visiting Glacier Spegazzini may be subject to approval by the captain of the vessel. In the unlikely event of a cancellation due to weather, a refund will be provided or an alternative will be offered.

It is highly recommended visitors bring their own lunch as it is not provided.
