Sea Trek Reef Encounter is an underwater walking journey through our 300,000 gallon tropical reef. While wearing a state-of-the-art dive helmet that allows you to breathe freely, you'll feel right at home under the sea. As you explore our reef you'll discover unique experiences around every corner.

During your 20 minute journey, you'll encounter tropical fish, sting rays and a variety of unique sea creatures. Become truly immersed in our tropical reef as our divers feed schools of fish and majestic rays.

Inclusion

A 15 minute educational classroom presentation prior to entering the water.

A wetsuit and towel are provided for use during the session.

Each Interaction session is unique, based upon the guests and marine animals.

Personal photo opportunities.

Complimentary admission to all Miami Seaquarium shows and exhibits for the day.

Exclusion

Transportation to and from attraction; Meals; Gratuities.

Hours of operation

Available on Wednesday through Sunday at 12:00pm and 2:00pm. Park is open 10:00am – 6:00pm. Guests must arrive 15 minutes prior to interaction.

Additional Information

Guests should bring their own bathing suits. We also provide lockers and showers for our participants’ use.

SCUBA certification is not required.

Participant restrictions

Minimum age requirement is 10 years old for Reef Encounter program. Under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult or older sibling who also is participating.

Participants 14-17 years must be accompanied by supervising adult.

All guests must read and understand English or Spanish. (Please specify on reservation if Spanish is needed).

Certain physical and mental impairments or conditions make participation in a Sea Trek Reef Encounter inadvisable, including, but not limited to: back or neck issues, history of health conditions, seizures, respiratory problems (including asthma), pregnancy, and mental impairments such as anxiety or phobias (especially claustrophobia). Should you have any questions about this, you should contact your doctor.

Eyeglasses are permitted, but no sunglasses (transition lenses are acceptable).

Guests are not permitted to wear jewelry or piercings during any of the animal interactions.

Policies

Cancellation: 29 days prior 50% penalty. 14 days prior 75% penalty. 7 days prior 100% penalty. No show always 100% penalty.

8 participants maximum per session.

Changing the date of your scheduled program within 8-30 days is subject to a $25 fee per person.
