Nothing beats winter time in the Sonora Desert. Warm temperatures, blue skies and breath taking scenery combine to create an oasis in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area. The unique plant life that lives under the hot desert sun is found nowhere else on earth. Your voyage on our awesome Segway X2 will delight your senses and engage your spirit.

It's like a hike in the desert without the hassle of sweating. The Segway allows you to view the desert flora and fauna without all the encumbrances of vehicle windows and doors. Our off road adventure travels an area rich with Giant Saguaro Cactus and heavy on the fun. The knobby balloon tires of the Segway X2 will ensure a safe smooth ride over the native caliche earth.

Inclusion

Cone Zone mandatory 20 to 30 minute orientation on Segway use; All necessary equipment and helmet; Ride time on the Segway; The most personable, professional, uniformed and experienced guide.

Exclusion

Items of a personal nature; Water and Snacks; Gratuity.

Hours of operation

Available: Daily, November 1 - May 1 (weather permitting); Tour starts at 10:00am and 1:00pm. Tours do not operate in the summer and early fall.

Duration

Approximately 1.5 hour tour with training.

Policies

All AOW guests are required to complete the Cone Zone adventure before being allowed to participate in any of the Segway tours we offer. Guests with prior Segway experience are still required to participate in the Cone Zone.

The Segway is not a Toy. Reckless or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. Troublesome guests will be asked to leave the tour without refund.

In the event of bad weather or excessively muddy unsafe conditions, tours will be relocated to the Green Belt tour in Old Town Scottsdale.
