Hours of operation

Available: Thursday and Saturday (March-October) plus Tuesday (April-September); Departs at 10:00am (Tuesday and Saturday) and 2:00pm (Thursday). No tour departures on July 14.

Duration

Approximately 2 hours walking tour. As much time as you like in the Orsay museum.

Location

Your tour meets at the metro station Lamarck Caulaincourt on Line 12, exit (sortie) 1. Your guide will be wearing a Fat Tire Tours shirt and holding a sign.

This tour ends at Abbesses metro station on Line 12. If you would like to visit the Orsay museum immediately following your tour you can take this line to Solferino, which is the closest station to the museum. This journey takes 15 minutes.

Additional Information

This tour does not include a guided visit of the Orsay. Rather, you will be able to discover the museum at your own pace in your own time. Your guide will introduce you to the area where Impressionism was born and you will discover the stories of the artists and the origins of famous paintings during your walk around Montmartre. You can enter the Orsay museum through a Fast Pass entrance at the end of the tour or on any other day of your trip.

Participant restrictions

The area around Montmartre can be quite steep. We recommend this tour for individuals with a moderate fitness level.

Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to tour departure. Once the tour has begun we do not have the ability to wait for and add late arrivals to the tour.
