Glide through the 1,000+ acre Golden Gate Park on this fully narrated Segway tour. Guests will have a blast gliding through seven beautiful miles of Golden Gate Park’s landscaped trails and roads, visiting hidden sights that include the Lily Pond, Shakespeare Garden and Fern Grotto. The tour explores the east end, including the National Aids Memorial, Music Concourse, Pioneer Grove, and Stow Lake.
Tour guides share tidbits and trivia about the Park’s stewards over the years, the impact of WWII on the Japanese Tea Garden, and the story of the park’s historical transformation from bleak sand dunes to today’s lush vista.

The seven mile (11.2 km) tour route explores the eastern section of the 1017 acre (411 ha) park on winding trails and bike routes.

Hours of operation
Available daily departing at 9:00am, 10:30am, 12:30pm, 2:00pm & 4:00pm from April to October and departing at 10:00am, 11:30am, 1:30pm & 3:00pm from November to March. Tour does not operate on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Check in at least 15 minutes prior to departure time.

Approximately 2.5 Hours including training time.
Location
Tour departs from the paved area directly behind the Sprekels Temple of Music (Band stage) in the Golden Gate Park Music Concourse area. Near the Japanese Tea Garden, California Academy of Science and deYoung Museum.
Additional Information
Training is 45 to 50 minutes. During the busy summer season training time may be slightly longer.
No flip-flops, open-toe sandals, or high heels.
Participant restrictions
Rider must be 12 years or older and weight 100lbs – 250lbs. No weight exceptions.
Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Pregnant guests are not allowed on the tour due to fall risk.
Not recommended for guests with some mobility or motor control issues.
Riders under 18yrs must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
You must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without any assistance or use of a handrail. You will be standing for 2 hours.

Cancellation: 3 days prior 100% penalty. No show 100% penalty.
Maximum of 8 guests per tour guide.
All guests must sign a liability waiver.
This activity is not recommended for guests age 70 and up.
You must complete the Segway rider training and test ride.
