1 Hour Tour - Downtown and Gaslamp Quarter:
The first GoCar San Diego harbor tour takes you on a multi-cultural tour of San Diego, starting in Little Italy, where you learn about the rise and fall of San Diego’s Italian population, your tour continues past the maritime history museum, the USS Midway, and into beautiful Seaport Village. You also get to travel past Horton Plaza which just begs be visited again after the tour ends.
After Horton Plaza, you make your way into the heart of San Diego, with a quick loop around the Home of San Diego Padres, and into the Historic Gaslamp Quarter, which after its reinvention is MUCH more family friendly then it used to be. As you leave the Gaslamp Quarter you will enter Banker’s Hill with is unique shops, also borders the always beautiful Balboa Park.

2 Hour Tour - Essential must see of Downtown/Balboa:
This is THE essential San Diego tour. You will see almost all of the greatest sights San Diego has to offer, from the visually stunning Balboa park which is littered with Spanish Renaissance inspired architecture, over a dozen museums, colorful flower gardens, and world renowned outdoor organ pavilion all the way to the always happening Hillcrest, which has a great variety of shops and restaurants, Hillcrest is known to have some of the best food in the county. But best of all you will also get to see Downtown San Diego at its finest, from the Maritime Museum, to the Historic Gaslamp Quarter. 3-Hour Tour - Point Loma Adventure:
This is our most unique tour because it shows you more of San Diego’s natural beauty, and how embedded into San Diego the US. Navy is. You will make your way from beautiful Little Italy, into San Diego’s Old Town where you get a small flair of western and Mexican culture mixed together. From Old Town, you will make your way into Point Loma towards Liberty Station which used to be the Naval Training Center of San Diego, when the training center closed in 1997 it was repurposed into a mixed used development with housing, recreational centers, business, hotels, and a few schools.
From Liberty Station, you will make your way to Shelter Island which gives you a great view of the Attack Submarine base. Making your way to Cabrillo National Monument and the Point Loma ecological preserve, you will see the old lighthouse that stood watch on the rocky shores and light up the dangerous waterways for many sailors and fishermen. You can also stop and look at the tide pools, where all sorts of aquatic creatures make their home. As you finish your tour you will pass the always romantic Sunset Cliff

We can customize a tour especially for you, with the sights you want to include, when you come into our shop.
The original GoCar (Standard GoCar) has a 50CC engine and will travel between 20mph-25mph while on the flat sections of the tour route.
Participant restrictions
Driver must be 21 years or older to rent and must provide a major credit card and valid driver’s license at the time of check-in (international license is not necessary).
Passengers must be 4 years of age or older - and small children must safely fit into one of our DOT approved helmets.
GoCars do not accommodate car seats for children.
Policies
GoCars hold a maximum of 2 people.
Prices are per GoCar, not per person.
On the day of rental, a $300 security deposit will be held on your credit card until the GoCar is returned (or $150 if a CDW or SLI insurance plan is purchased).
Renters will have the option to purchase Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance on the day of rental.
All riders must sign a standard participant agreement.
Renters are free to extend the length of their tour on the day of rental. Additional rental time will be charged in 15-minute increments.
Cars must be returned to rental location before dusk.
Complete information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, will be included on your Confirmation Voucher.
