Course 40: Tobacco Route

The name of this route came out from the continuous apparition of the number, 40, in the life of tobacco: 40 days from the moment the seed is planted until the birth and transfer of the plant in the field. 40 Days is the time of maturing, in which the plant "matures" enough, and is ready to cut. 40 Days are also necessary for the plant to dry up in the special houses, so this precious product can be transported to the manufacturing industries that will transform it into cigars.

Itinerary

Day 1:

Meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the Hotel Express Managua.

Day 2:

Buffet breakfast. Managua City Explorer excursion. Lunch included and transfer to the northern part of the country into city of Esteli. Overnight in Los Acros Hotel.

Day 3:

Full breakfast. Visit to the tobacco plantations in Jalapa area to find out about the process of plantation and elaboration of the tabacco. Lunch included. Afternoon visit of the tobacco factory. Overnight at Los Acros hotel.

Day 4:

Full Breakfast. Visit to the tobacco plantations in Esteli area to find outt about the process of plantation and elaboration of the tobacco. Lunch included. Afternoon visit of the Tobacco factory. Overnight at Los Acros Hotel.

Day 5:

Full breakfast. Excursion to Masaya Volcano National Park and Craft Market. Lunch included and transfer to Granada. Overnight at Hotel Granada.

Day 6:

Buffet breakfast. Excursion to Colonial Granada and Island of Lake Nicaragua. Lunch included. Overnight in Hotel Granada.

Day 7:

Buffet breakfast. Transfer to the airport. End of tour.
