This is a protected area at altitude, which mainly consists of paramos. Trees and bushes such as romillero mortino, chuquiraguas, pampass grass and occasionally quishuares, pumamaquis, and piquiles, species native to the Andes, grow on this terrain. The most outstanding fauna is that which is typical of the paramo, most importantly deer, wolves, rabbits and occasionally wild llamas, which can be seen strolling through the area, whose population numbers have been increased through specific conservation projects realized in the sector.
Inclusion
Transport during all tours and visits Riobamba - reservation of the Chimborazo-Riobamba, guides of mountain, equipment complete camping if necessary, accommodation and meals in all the camps, huts or lodges, equipment appropriate for the ascension, assistance for the obtaining of permits and entrance fees to National Park.
Exclusion
Mountain equipment (bags sleeping, gloves, sunglasses, head lamp, vacuum flasks of water, etc.), additional drinks in the casa de campo, insurance travel, gratuities, personal expenses.

Itinerary
Day 1: Transportation will take you from Riobamba to the base camp of the Chimborazo located in the Valley of Totorilla at 4000 meters. In this place we have our private mountain retreat
"Star el Chimborazo" for exclusive use of our clients. In the afternoon we will make a trip in the area where llamas and alpacas are raised. Include meals and accommodation in the country house.
Day 2: Morning free for acclimatization in the camp. After lunch, the trekking towards "Whymper Hut" will be undertaken for an afternoon there and begin the climb at night or, we also offer our customers the opportunity to ascend to the Summit directly from the field House at night, if you so prefer it.
Day 3: Ascension Day. Return to camp for dinner and accommodation for the night.
Day 4: Possible second attempted ascent in the event that the weather conditions have not allowed it or land travel back to Riobamba.
Policies
Present your voucher(s) and photo identification upon check-in. Please arrive 15 minutes prior the tour.
Guest is required to call at least 72 hours ahead of the tour date to confirm the reservation and to provide height information.
*Chimborazo is climbable year round however, the best climbing months are June and July and December through early January. February through May is known for bad weather, especially in the month of April.
Tours may be cancelled if the weather makes for dangerous riding conditions. If we are unable to reschedule the tour, we will issue a full credit or refund.
