The Auckland Hop On Hop Off Explorer is a sightseeing tour with full commentary. The tour visits a number of Auckland attractions, including Auckland Museum, Sky City, Parnell Village, Kelly Tarlton's Sealife, Auckland waterfront, Mount Eden and Auckland Zoo, just to name a few. There is a comprehensive audio commentary on the bus as it travels around the loops. The audio commentary is available in English only, but Chinese, French, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese and German information and timetables are available from the driver or from the web site.

Available daily. Buses leave every 30 minutes from 9:00am-4:00pm at the Philips Corner/Princes Wharf (hourly from 10:00am-3:00pm in winter May-September) or from 9:45am at the Sky City.

Location
The Auckland Explorer Bus leaves from the Philips Corner/Princes Wharf, Downtown Auckland – near the entrance to Princes Wharf.
Red Loop stops include: Philips Corner/ Princes Wharf, Bastion Point Lookout, Kelly Tarltons, Parnell Rose Gardens, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Auckland Museum, Parnell Village, Civic Theater Corner, SkyCity and Sky Tower.
Blue Loop stops include: Winter Gardens, Eden Garden, Mt. Eden, St. Lukes Westfield Shopping Centre, Auckland Zoo, Motat (Museum Of Transport And Technology).
Participant restrictions
Children age 4 and younger are admitted free of charge.
Only Red Loop buses are wheelchair accessible. The Blue Loop buses are smaller and not wheelchair accessible.
Policies
City streets can be temporarily closed for street parades, celebrations and road works. These closures may affect the running time of the explorer services. This applies especially on Saturday and Sunday afternoons on hot summer days due to traffic congestions along the waterfront.
