Actun-Can Caves Tour

In the morning you will be transferred to Actun Can Caves. Found just outside of Santa Elena, it has some lovely natural rock formations, including one that looks like marimba. In one domed chamber, the “Cathedral of Time”, the Maya are said to have conducted rituals. Transfer back to the hotel after the tour.

Hours of operation

Available: Daily; No tour departures on National Holidays: January 1; March 20-27 (Holy Week); May 1; June 30; August 15; September 15; October 20; November 1; December 25 - January 2.

Location

Tour starts and ends at Flores Airport and/or a hotel in Flores or Tikal Area.

Participant restrictions

Passengers should be in good physical condition since they need to walk 2 or 3 hours during the tour.

Policies

Cancellation: 10 days prior 50% penalty, 5 days prior 100% penalty. No show 100% penalty.

Please remember to add if needed airfare between Guatemala city & Flores and transfers out/in from hotel in Guatemala city & La Aurora Airport.
