Our flights originate near the Colorado Springs Airport. Our balloon systems are mobile command centers allowing Adventures Out West to choose from several launch sites. This helps to ensure your flight will be a success in the event of changing wind patterns.

At the highest flight levels, snowcapped mountains, rivers and high plains are visible for over 100 miles in all directions. Floating lower over the foothills and ranch land you will often see deer, coyotes, jack rabbits, and even pronghorn antelope ... animals that are normally too shy to let you approach when you are walking on the ground.

Our post-flight celebration features a champagne toast, orange juice, fresh fruit, pastries … presented with glass stemware, table cloth and flowers - all with an incredible view! Each new aeronaut receives a Flight Certificate suitable for framing. We also provide a FLIGHT VIDEO posted at the Adventures Out West channel on YouTube. Show your friends back home how much fun you're having!

Flights available daily at sunrise, times vary by season.

Duration

Approximately 3 - 4 hours. Start time: Sunrise - times vary by season. Plan to meet at the appointed time. Please do not be late and there is no need to be early. Your balloon ride will be 45 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes in the air. We always try to fly for 1 hour. Depending on the day we land when it is most prudent for safety reasons. Total activity time is 3-4 hours. This includes transportation time to and from the field, time to assemble and inflate the balloon, flight time, pack up of the balloon, party in the field and transport back to your cars. Most flights are done in 3 hours but can take as long as 4 hours.

Policies

Cancellation: 2 days prior 100% penalty. No show always 100% penalty.

We do have a 4-guest minimum in order to fly.

Flights may be cancelled at AOW's discretion as late as the night before if we do not meet our minimum, unfavorable weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Local office contact information will be printed on your voucher to confirm flight start time.

If your hotel is not included in the pick-up location, a central meeting location will be provided on your confirmation voucher.
