Itinerary
Starting your trip with a pick up at your resort, our first stop will be at the world only conch farm! Yes, it is here where the Caribbean Queen conchs are raised from veliger to adult. Here you can watch how the process is done, enjoy a show with the two trained and very friendly conchs, see conch pearls and even purchase fresh conch for a fabulous conch salad.
Next we go one of the key historic attractions on Providenciales, the "Cheshire Hall Plantation". The 200 year-old ruins of this former cotton plantation are striking against a backdrop of modern day Provo, as the island is known locally. The building ruins have been carefully preserved by the National Trust and offer spectacular views of the island.
Then get ready to go to the "Hole" located in Long Bay in Providenciales. This naturally formed massive limestone 40 foot hole is on the list of things to see. People can be lowered down a rope where 80 feet down there is a swimming hole. For adventurous souls only!
Our next stop would be Blue Mountain, one of highest point on Providenciales. This area is almost entirely residential. A few villas are located in this area, excellent views of Providenciales from the top of Blue Mountain.
Onto Taylor Bay Beach where the features sugar white sand, palm trees freckle the coast, and the beach is edged by verdant shrubbery and trees. The waters are a crystalline blue that are so shallow that toddlers can walk out for about a mile before the water would cover their short statures.
Lunch at Conch Shack is a must. This restaurant harvest conch right in front of you and served every way imaginable. There specialty is conch and local seafood - local fishermen catch grouper, snapper and lobster when in season. This is also the place for amazing Island Jerk Chicken and other grilled features. Tasty vegetarian options too! (Own expense)
