A scenic sightseeing trip along the Via Costeira (coastal road), the avenue that runs between the Atlantic Ocean and the Dunes State Park and boasts the best hotels in Natal, with views of the beaches of Mãe Luíza, with its lighthouse, and Areia Preta, with its black sand beach. Further on you pass the main town beaches of Artistas, Meio and Forte, and stop at Reis Magos Fortress. Continue past the Canto do Mangue, site of the fish market where small fishing boats dot the bay, the harbor and the old 'Ribeira' Cidade Alta, with the city's oldest churches and buildings. Sightseeing at famous architect Giácomo Palumbo's urban project. You'll make a shopping stop at the largest local handicraft and art center, before returning along Hermes da Fonseca Avenue, the city's main boulevard, past the Machadão (football stadium) and The Mall with a stunning view of Ponta Negra beach.
