You enter the jungle on the Sendero Yacaratía trail on a special truck that provides panoramic views of the rainforest, accompanied by an experienced guide who explains everything you see and relates the legends about this spectacular place.

The eight kilometre truck ride brings you to Puerto Macuco, close to the infirmary and service station, where you descend 100 metres of stairs to a pontoon on the river for the second part of the trip. Here you board a motor launch for the six kilometre ride which includes two kilometres of rapids - through the canyon of the Iguassu River to the falls.

After taking in the view from the calm side of San Martin Island, you continue to the Tres Mosqueteros waterfall, where you can see both the Brazilian and Argentinean bank and the renowned Devil?s Throat. The boat continues along the shore of the island to the most exciting part where you head right up to San Martin waterfall - the largest cascade the boat can approach safely - a wonderful and unforgettable experience!

Minimum age requirement: 12 years old. Please note that minimum age requirements are adhered to for safety reasons.

If you are pregnant, have limited mobility or suffer from medical problems, you should not attempt this excursion.
