Chalten Full Day With Viedma Ice Trek

Arriving at Cape Horn (Southeast Ventisqueros Field) the boat turns west and meets the stunning view Glaciar.

Se makes landing on the rocky promontory facing the Viedma Glacier, where trekking guides are responsible for trail safety and also share their knowledge about the area with a brief instruction of Glaciology.

There will be a brief walk through the field which a few years ago was occupied by the glacier. After a few minutes you reach the edge of the glacier where all visitors are required to fit crampons climb the glacier. Finally we start trekking for two hours on the Viedma Glacier. Throughout the trek you can find sinks, cracks and caves. During the tour there will be a break for lunch.

Inclusion

Personal equipment (warm clothing, gloves, sunglasses, shoes, etc.); Lunch box; Any service not specified; Entrance to Glacier National Park.

Hours of operation

Available daily at 7:00am from October - April.

Duration

Approximately 6 hours.

Itinerary

08:45am - Boarding at the Tunnel Bay port.

09:00am - Departure from the Tunnel Bay port heading to the Viedma Glacier.

10:30am - Disembark at the promontory by the glacier.

1:30pm - Return to the boat.

2:30pm - Arrival at Tunnel Bay.

Participant restrictions

The product is intended for people in good physical condition accustomed to moderate hiking on uneven terrain.

Guests must be at least 12 years old to participate.
